Overview​

Push notifications deliver Offers and Announcements directly to Members' wallet passes.

How They Work​

  1. An Offer or Announcement is published in the system
  2. Update sent to wallet provider (Apple/Google)
  3. Wallet provider pushes to Member devices
  4. The Member sees notification on lock screen

Notification Types​

  • New Offers published
  • Announcements (push messages without a redemption)
  • Card tier upgrades
  • Card status changes
  • Pass updates

Best Practices​

  • Send notifications 2-4 hours before events
  • Keep messages concise (60 characters)
  • Limit frequency (2-3 per week maximum)
